چکیده

In Turkey, one of the essential grain legumes is lentil. It usually perceived as a weak competitor with weeds. The research objective was to determine tolerance selected 145 mutagenized lentil genotypes at M5 generation imazamox herbicide including 139 derived from Ethyl Methane Sulfonate (EMS) seeds cultivar Firat-87 and 6 control cultivars were screened for tolerance. Experiments carried out in greenhouse field. Herbicide applied 150% recommended dose (100 ml/ha, or 40 g a.i/ha) when plants between 5 - node stage. response evaluated by measuring plant height sign growth also visual scoring foliar damage 1 scale 45 60 days after spraying field experiment 30 experiment. categorized based on their reactions herbicides highly tolerant, moderately sensitive, sensitive. results showed significant differences among herbicide. At spray, most some recoveries both experiments. Five (IMI-124, IMI-128, IMI-130, IMI-138, IMI-139), displayed high tolerant can be exploited future breeding programs improving varieties.

From Petri dish to field: testing Greek lentil accessions for imazamox tolerance

This work aimed to study the intrinsic tolerance of Greek lentil accessions to imazamoxherbicide by combining bioassays, pot and field experiments. Initially, 31 genotypes wereevaluated in Petri dish bioassays for their tolerance to six concentrations of imazamox. Theaverage root length of 10 lentil seedlings/dish at seven days after herbicide application was usedfor non-linear regression analy...

Evaluation of Tolerance of Some Soybean Genotypes to Drought Stress

In order to recognize the soybean tolerant genotypes, a greenhouse as factorial experiment was conducted in form of randomized complete block design with three repetition in 2017 in Damavand. The first factor contained 15 soybean genotypes and second factor included two levels of normal irrigation and irrigation disruption in time of podding. The traits included plant height, reproductive ...

Root plasticity improves salt tolerance in different genotypes of lentil (Lens culinaris)

The phenotypic plasticity of plant is related to the ability to adapt its anatomy and morpho-functionality to environmental changes and it is expressed mainly by organs used for the uptake of resources, as leaves and roots (Smilauerova et al. 2002). Therefore the complexity and variability of radical system is the outcome of the root adaptation to soil heterogeneity (Waisel et al. 2002). Many a...

Evaluation of Wild Lentil Species as Genetic Resources to Improve Drought Tolerance in Cultivated Lentil

Increasingly unpredictable annual rainfall amounts and distribution patterns have far reaching implications for pulse crop biology. Seedling and whole plant survival will be affected given that water is a key factor in plant photosynthesis and also influences the evolving disease spectrum that affects crops. The wild relatives of cultivated lentil are native to drought prone areas, making them ...
